CROSSROADS

So after about almost 2 months of being back from my Beautiful Motherland, Mi Quisqueya La Bella, where I was blessed to bring in the New Year, here I am finally inspired to share my trip. Yesterday was el 27 de Febrero; El Dia De La Independencia Dominicana and going through these pictures warms me up through this endless winter we've been experiencing in New York.
The weather, the food, the environment. I miss it ALL!
I miss the simplicity of things, the serenity; the beauty that soaks up every place my eyes land upon, Inspiration from every angle. The nature, the nurture, the smell of overpriced gasoline, burnt out dreams and roasted passion in the air, coffee, and viejitos rising with the sun. The cows, and chickens, and broken hearted dogs; the piggies and their families, the weary cats, and the goats in the streets. And my Horses. My precious Strong Powerful Beautiful Free Horses; they give me life. But more than anything I miss the SUN, and the Water and Sand and the Coconut trees and the fruits getting picked right off the trees, right in your yard, in your neighbors yard, all year around;
Nutrition at it purest.

Its always so difficult for me to transition from Vaca to Real life; for me to come back and unpack. I actually unpacked about 2 weeks ago, and as I did I sniffed away at every thing in my maleta, luggage. Now I'm not a freak; ok maybe I am, no Im just an Extreme Passionista. My passion derives from Emotion, my emotions all over the place, my Fashion my Passion, they go hand in hand. Because of my bipolar ways it is so difficult to pack for any type of Vacation, I usually over pack, of course. With every piece of clothing, goes an emotion. I dress depending on how I feel so I just never know what to expect, I have to prepare for anything. I had a few blog ideas actually to post while I was there, I just unfortunately couldn't make it to certain places bc of obnoxious inconveniences, so I give you what I can. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, of course I forgot my memory card back home so I was missing my Nikon,  HOPE YOU ENJOY IT. Lol leave it up to me to wear a maxi dress on an mini adventure trip. Im up and down, always. An extremists, no in betweens, unique, exquisite, unexpected. This trip represented Serenity; Acceptance of Who I am, Where I am, Where I Stand, Where I've Been, Now Where Do I want to be? Where am I Going?

Im at a Crossroads. Really an Intersection. So many open roads, narrow tunnels, leading to planets as far as Mars; unstable spontaneous climatic, a sun apart, a moon in each with pieces of my heart,
Which Road Do I Follow?

Like the Leaves in Autumn…

Accept where you've been. Understand where you are. Focus on where you're Going _ Rob Hills Sr.

Like the Leaves in Autumn i've Changed...
Currently my brain has whirlwinds of those mini tornadoes of leaves that form on a breezy day. The changes in life from family to friends to love to self; whirlwinds of change, letting go of debris for the sake of my soul.
Physically: My hair is much shorter now and much lighter, I had mixed emotions about it and darkened it a bit and miss my big dark natural curls but no regrets just lessons learned. Changes proceeding to emotions; this shoot was touchy. With my Big Dark Curls of Confidence gone, I felt myself uncomfortable in my own skin. Every vision of mine is honestly with My Pajon! But as time passes and ideas continue to pile up, I had to force myself to embrace the look, So I reached for Inspiration and found it in someone us Strong Beautiful Dreamers can all relate to a bit… This is a Close Up of my face that day; Unfortunately it was Absolutely Freezing in Inwood as you can see the pain in my face; but I needed this shoot here, My Home that I've watched change over the years as well.
Change as scary as it may seem is necessary and ultimately, with care, Great.
We fear it, but Fear is the worst enemy to a Dreamer.
Let Fear fall like the leaves in Autumn. Embrace Change and its painful beauty.

Grateful Woman

"The Flower that Blooms in Adversity is the most rare and Beautiful of them all."

This Year Thanksgiving was Special. This year was different. It was a new and refreshing feeling. I didn't do the usual; call or text everyone I know to briefly explain how much I appreciate them; No. I thought about it for weeks; day by day thanking God for his blessings. Thanking God for the Ability to Learn, and the beauty of time and how amazing it is to feel Growth, and to feel deep profound Love; Self Love more than anything emerging outwards into all aspects of my life. And for Serenity, to feel like letting go and forgiving yourself is ok, to be Reborn again and to accept that Everyday is Open to Change. As I celebrated with my loved ones at home I caught myself spaced out zooming into the scenes as the night went on and my heart felt pure, Like That feeling you get when you realize You are now A Young Woman. Everything is different, Better. You're in Control.
This outfit was picked last minute but it shows so much of what I'm feeling at this point in life.  The necklace by Forever21 represents my Bold Heart. The Buttery color of the Sweater by Forever21 represents Renewal and Comfort. The Skirt by Forever21 represents my life; all the bright details show Hope and Faith and Beauty in darkness. Tights by Forever21. Black Suede Booties by H&M.

"Fashion is not about buying a second skin. Fashion is about having a fantasy" Alber Elbaiz
This Lovely Post is about my mini getaway for me and my boyfriend's anniversary. He definitely surprised me and well. We spent 3 days in Miami and this is some of the Art that captivated us. I hope you can spot me in the first picture; unfortunately I did not take many with this outfit. I felt like a warrior princess. I had a one shoulder draped light pink dress which was super short and made me feel like a doll and I had my Gold Gladiator sandals which I had found while packing last minute. The leather was a little hot for the amazing MIAMI weather but the outfit was perfection; Sorry for the hair Lol it was Hott and Fabulous. I took soo many more pics and have so many more posts to make in tribute to my anniversary; but had to put on hold for my sweet escape. Inspiration is flowing through my veins right now. Oh by the way GoodBye Lovely September; you were amazing <3

Hope you Enjoyed.

I Absolutely Love September.
September is Refreshing; like having the first drink of a freshly opened can of soda, it's the tingling feeling of an early morning shower, the feeling you get when you drink a glass of water on a minty mouth; the amazing Height of the Coffee Rush early in the day.
September feels new but not brand new; it feels common and good; Renewed; Improved.
September is Orange and Blue and Bright and True, it's Elegant and Beautiful in it's details, it's soft, warm, tender.
September is Welcoming in it's Nature; it's Air, Wind, Fire, Water, Breath, Life. September is Sweet Love on fire.
September is emerging, transforming.
September is Sexy and Sassy, always Seeking more, intertwining what was to what is, what can be to what will be, its the mint midst of reality and fantasy.
September is Strong and Powerful. September stands alone, Sweet Soldier; Unique on it's own; challenging but Victorious.
September is True Love.

XOXO <3 Hope you enjoyed.

My Birthday, The First Day of Summer after 7 months of craziness. Life has it's way of bringing you down, but something in my heart tugs at my brain consistently telling me to STOP being so scared to Follow My Dreams; "the Time Will Pass anyways..."
